Mgr. Kateřina Tolarová

„I believe that we can effectively pass on only what we are inwardly convinced of.“

I studied graphics at an art high school in Jihlava and then English and arts at Masaryk University in Brno. After finishing my studies, I worked as an English teacher. Since 2003 I've been on staff with In-Life. I enjoy coordinating and hosting student events. I focus on personal mentoring and counseling. I occasionally serve as a translator. The topics for my lectures include 'Fear–how to get rid of it,' 'Going to the heart of the matter,' or 'The idols of our hearts.' When I have free time, I like taking pictures or going to galleries and cafes to meet people. Some of my role models are the artist Adriena Šimotová, the poet Marie Rafajová, and the artist Bohuslav Reynek. They inspire me with their unwavering perseverance to follow what is meaningful and what transcends our physical world. For years this quote by Josef Capek has been my companion, "First, you have to have a full heart of the painting until you can have your eyes full of it." I believe that we can effectively pass on only what we are inwardly convinced of, what individuals experience themselves.
